KPOP Toys

Since my post about blind boxed figurines from RIIZE (and of other KPOP-themed collectible releases, including NewJean's plush), and especially with the recent announcement of impending "blind box regulations" to be had from the Singapore Government, I was intrigued to dive a little bit into what is currently available in the KPOP-sphere, both the ball-popular plush and upcoming "blind boxed" figures - with all items found on ktown4u.com (possible links to and pricing via also), cheers.

Nothing too "deep" here, folks, just pointing you to WHAT else to add to your toy-collections...! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA

The following merch/MD from Red Velvet was released circa 2024, but I want to recognise their existence, although I can hardly say they "started" this, but still is a nice starting point for my post (in my memories thus far), IMHO.

For their seventh Korean extended play (EP) album "Cosmic", open window boxes of plush versions of their "Cosmie" mascot was made available, and if my local store carried them, I would've snatched one up! LOL

Coinciding with their "Happiness: My Dear, ReVeluv" fan-concert tour (their first, actually), celebrating their 10th anniversary, they had released MINI DOLL KEY RING and SCRUNCHIEs of their individual mascot animals. I doubt that they were "blind boxed", but...

WHO-ARE: Red Velvet is a South Korean girl group formed and managed by SM Entertainment. They originally debuted on August 1, 2014, with the single "Happiness" with the four-member line-up of Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, and Joy. Yerin was added to group a little bit later.

Red Velvet is one of my favs and I showcase them more on TUNESTALK (my music-blog), including Wendy's and Seulgi's solos :)

For their "Wish Bakery" pop-up(s) coinciding with their "2026 Fanmeeting", NCT WISH offers up a dizzying array of collectibles, including the WISH BAKERY blind boxed series showcasing a line-up of 7 character figures (available 2026-02-19), as well assorted plush galore.

WHO-ARE: NCT Wish is a Japanese-Korean boy band and the sixth and final sub-unit of the South Korean boy band NCT, formed and managed by SM Entertainment and Avex Trax.

ITZY_TWINZY_PLUSH

JYP Girl Group ITZY has rolled out a plethora of MD for their 3rd World Tour "TUNNEL VISION" - in the form of Plush and Keychain charms, and they each have "names" too: KKengEE, Li-Li, RyuJJi, RyeoWoo and NAong!

TWINZY are the official cat-themed mascot characters (launched in 2023), with each of the five members (Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, Yuna) having a corresponding character!

ABOVE: TWINZY MINI PLUSH OUTFIT BABY Ver. are each sized 12cm X 15cm (POLYESTER, METAL-made), to be released 2026-05-13, each priced USD18.10

WHO-ARE: Itzy is a South Korean girl group formed by JYP Entertainment. The group consists of five members: Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna. They are recognized for their "teen crush" concept and for exploring themes of independence and self-love in their music.

"Xdinary Monsters 10CM PLUSH COSTUME" was meant for the 2nd fanmeeting in 2026 "XCLUSIVE PARTY", each priced USD18.10 on ktown4u.com (Release: 2026-04-21). Pretty elaborate too, IMO.

WHO-ARE: Xdinary Heroes is a South Korean rock band under JYP Entertainment's sub-label, Studio J. The band consists of six members, they officially debuted on December 6, 2021, with the single "Happy Death Day".

Another JYP group offering up merch/MD, is South Korean pop rock band Day6, with the following celebrating their 10th Anniversary Tour, "The DECADE" DAEGU - with DENIMALZ PLUSH LYING Ver. (7cm tall Polyester-made) and PETIT DENIMALZ KEYRING(s). Each priced USD12.88 and USD14.40 respectively, with a release dated "2026-04-16".

Honestly at this point, because I am not necessarily clued into the fandom and the groups/performers, so am not familiar at all with their "lore", and if each mascot character is their own dedicated character mascot, or if it is just generic animal-themed merch to sale :p

I am reminded of LOONA and their own dedicated animal avatars, apart of their lore since the beginning - which have not produced any collectibles thus far, for which I had attempted to pair them up to designer art toys I have chosen (heh).

Besides "animals", I've always wondered about a "humanoid" representation of their artists (like BLACKPINK's In Your Area), least it incurs effigy/"voodoo-doll" styled enshrinement (yes I am being utterly cynical and extreme here :p) ... but HYBE has gone by way of literal humanoid-adaptations of their girl group, in the form of ILLIT's "Little Mimi Ver." - whom to me is thus far the "ultimate" in blind box releases - at least in terms of individual item pricing!

Released for the first single album "NOT CUTE ANYMORE", they were each originally priced at US$45.83 on ktown4u.com (Currently US$37+).

(Box) sized W95 X H115 X D35, the figure included removable tailored fabric clothing, and seems the most elaborate looking collectible figure seen thus far, IMO.

WHO-ARE: Illit is a South Korean girl group formed by Belift Lab (a sub-label of Hybe), through the 2023 JTBC survival competition show R U Next?. Debuted on March 25, 2024, the group consists of five members.

At the end of the day, all of these are physical and tangible collectibles and keepsakes other than the CD albums, that facilitate regular "usage" other than being kept enshrined at home (alongside said-CD albums, posters, photo-cards and even dedicated fandom light-sticks), with being hung from fans' bags and phones, to signify their "allegiance", and that alone is "priceless promotion" as far as I am concerned.

My fav KPOP-girl group tripleS (Agency: MODHAUS) is currently going thru a fan-voted Mascot Naming process, with possibly merch coming our way, and I for one have no qualms about supporting my favs, beyond the albums I have purchased...!

Happy Kpop-Toy Hunting, folks!
