TOY-THROWBACK LOOK @ MEGASETH



I (officially) take a TOY-THROWBACK LOOK at a past collectible (in my own collection, the only way I can relate first hand) and offer up a very brief toy-history for too... (Re)Introducing "MEGASETH"!

MEGASETH is a character creation by Scottish artist Lisa Rae Hansen AKA I BREAK TOYS, and I am thanking a toy-throwback look at this 4" tall resin cast hand-painted TOYSREVIL-Edition, received in 2013, as part of the Megaseth World Tour! The figure seen here came packed with Gig Ticket & Mini Print!

Featuring a super-awesome TOYSREVIL-Mascot (Whomn I've since named "TRE") on his friont-of-tee, the figure is one of my cherished pieces and milestone mark of TOYSREVIL's existence, and is Not For Sale, thanks.



The very first incarnation of MEGASETH was a "one-off" custom for "Heavy Metal Qee" (Organized by fungi.me), whereby a 8-inch tall Dog Qee was customised into a Russian-Doll-inspired torture chamber. Upon opening the Iron Maiden's magnetic doors and entombed within you'll find MegaSeth, a 4-inch, original hand-sculpted toy. (Blogged)



This custom, along with 30 other customs were on display at Forbidden Planet (London Megastore) in April 2021, with proceeds in aid of The Garden House Hospice. Images of the finished pieces were also published in a glossy color book dedicated to the show (I'd interviewed Daniel Perry for the "Heavy Metal Qee" Project).



Subsequently the 4" tall resin figure was released in multiple versions and colorways thru the years, featured on TOYSREVIL, until "2015".

My edition came during the time 2 versions were made available at ToyCon UK from I Break Toys x Fugi.me.
